Delivering educational experiences that last a lifetime… Depending upon age, participants of the family program will enjoy: - Archery and Air-Rifle Shooting - COPE Course (high- and low- ropes course) - Dutch Oven Cooking - Handicraft Projects and Instructional Classes - Hikes in Philmont’s backcountry - Horse Rides • - Nature Hikes • - Overnighter in the backcountry • - Pony Rides • Tours of the Kit Carson Museum (Rayado) • and the Villa Philmonte • - Search and Rescue (Carson Meadows)

Delivering educational experiences that last a lifetime… • Mountain Treks • - Backpacking expedition for 14-20 year olds. • Unique 5-day backcountry experience exclusive to PTC family program • Hiking itineraries are customized according to the skills of the individuals • Every night is spent at a staffed backcountry camp • - Participants engage in the same activities as traditional treks • NAYLE (National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience) • A co-ed, outdoor-based training in leadership and teamwork for 14-20 year olds. • One week program at the Rayado Ridge Leadership Training Camp (new for Summer 2013) • Motivates participants to help others succeed through servant leadership • Encourages ethical decision-making based on the Scout Oath & Scout Law, using positive reinforcement, and practicing servant leadership throughout life.
