What roles do organisms play in a food web? • Producers • Create their own food using sun’s energy • Start energy flow • Consumers • Eat other organisms to get their energy • Herbivores, Omnivores, Carnivores • Decomposers • Break down dead plants, animals, and waste and return nutrients to the ecosystem
