  4. Scan Point Management System (SPMS) Application • Internal measurement system • Utilizes scanning technology • Helps to ensure timely availability of the mail by the posted “up-time”

  5. A barcoded placard is placed in the PO Box Section and scanned after the distribution of PO Box mail is complete

  6. “Up-Time” is the time of day customers may expect to collect the mail that is committed for that day from their PO Box • Committed mail includes • First Class • Periodicals • Standard • Packages

  9. SPMS Navigation Use the links across the top of the page to navigate to the Facility Box Data screen, Reports screen, or to exit the application

  12. IMDAS Scanner Setup • Follow standard IMDAS setup procedures for In-Office User • Enter the facility ZIP Code • Enter route ID 00 • At the In-Office main menu • Select Scan Barcode

  13. Scanning the Barcode • Scan the barcode on the PO Box Section Placard • Cradle scanner to transmit data

Service Measurement Delivery Unit Saturation Scanning • Saturation Mail • Start the Clock • Clerks will Scan “Arrival at Unit” • Saturation Mail Barcode Sheet • Stop the Clock • Carrier and PO Box clerks to Scan Saturation Mail Barcode Sheet to Indicate “Delivered” • Carrier Scan Indicates Last Day of Delivery for Mailing

Service Measurement Delivery Unit Saturation Scanning Status Update • Scanning tests show that IMDAS data collection is working • 3,000 scans daily recorded from test sites • IMDAS software download at 82 % complete • Projected to exceed 98% by December 8 • Compliance reporting for saturation mail will be available beginning the week of December 8 • Service measurement for saturation mail will begin January • Service measurement for CRRT bundles

Service Measurement Delivery Unit Saturation Scanning Next Steps • National deployment of saturation scanning week of December 8-12 • Ensure IMD software is uploaded • Begin monitoring compliance reports to ensure scanning procedures are being followed • Ensure communication/SOP’s are cascaded to delivery units
