  4. AP Freshman college level courses offered at the high school. Students take a test at the end of the year. AP exam scores range from 1-5 with a 3 or better earning you college credit.

  5. AP AP Exam Fee for 2015 is $91 per exam. If you have financial need see Mr. Mortensen. If you pass the exam typically earn 5-6 college credits. 5 credits at Weber are worth approx. $850. I have parents ask “How can my child get a scholarship?” Take an AP Exam!

  6. AP AP exams are given at schools each May. Exams are 3 hours long. Exams contain: multiple choice and essay questions.

  8. CE Take a Concurrent Enrollment class at BHS. Earn college credit for the class. Grade you earn in the class also goes on college transcript.

  9. CE Sign up for the class Apply to the college ($40) Register for the class $5 per credit

  10. How Do College Credits Transfer? Check with individual universities (Don’t trust the neighbor). Check university transfer guides Have transcripts sent from college you earned credit from to the college you are attending.

  11. Reasons To Take higher level courses Develop skills needed for college. Earn college credit while in high school thus saving time and money. Increase chances of graduating from college is 4 years saving thousands of dollars. In classes with other students who are college bound and have similar goals Help students standout in the college admission process Be better prepared for the ACT/SAT tests

  17. ACT Should I take the ACT more than once? Research shows: 57% increase their score on retest 21% stay the same 22% decrease

  18. ACT You can take the ACT up to 12 times. We recommend multiple attempts, beginning spring of junior year. Not recommended for sophomores. www.actstudent.org

  20. PLAN Given to all Sophomores free of charge on October 7th, 2014 Test will begin at 7:30 a.m. No late start for sophomores this day. Results will give you an estimated ACT score and areas for improvement.

  24. PSAT/NMSQT Pre-Scholastic Aptitude Test-National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Prepares students of the SAT Students that do well can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship ($2500)

  25. PSAT/NMSQT For Juniors (NMSQT)/For Sophomores (PSAT) Given at Bountiful High on Wed. October 15th, 2014 Students will miss morning classes (A-Day) Deadline for registering is 3:00 pm, Friday, October 10th. Pay the $20.00 fee in the Business Office or online through myDSD. A limited number of test are available
