  1. N. Catalan Lasheras Review of electrical drawings for the LHC superconducting circuits

  2. The task • We would like to have a set of drawings for the electrical circuits • Starting with the available drawings (LSD) • Because we have used them extensively • Produce schematic drawings of the LHC SC circuits adding missing information • the instrumentation, quench heaters, voltage taps,… • Interconnection details, location, splice type • mechanical relevant data, liras, cryogenic plugs • Non conformities • …

  3. Dos and Donts • One single continuous drawing by arc/sector/powering subsector • Not to-scale, not mechanical • But alignment and distribution should intuitively match reality • Cryo lines, cryostats, DFB chimneys etc. • Using layers • User can decide to see/print by circuit, by DFB, with/without instrumentation • Hyperlink to other information resources • Based in AutoCad, no circuit simulation capacity • No substitute for electrical drawings or mechanical drawings

  4. Schedule • Sector 1-2 first version available for July 2011 • About one new sector every month ready for review • All sectors available in Dec 2011 • First reviewed sector ready by Dec 2011 • Approval of all sectors during 2012 • Navigation tools developed in 2012 • Insertion in CDD, EDMS of all sectors by Dec 2012 • All drawings approved and ready to print from official sources before the next long technical shutdown (2013)

  5. Agenda • Review of electrical drawings for the LHC superconducting circuits 09:00 - 09:15 IntroductionDr. Nuria Catalan Lasheras (CERN) 09:15 - 10:15 Overview of the schematic electrical drawings for one sectorStephen Pemberton (CERN), Kevin Pereira (CERN) 10:15 - 10:30 Coffee break 10:30 - 10:45 How ElQA activities can profit from the schematics?Richard Mompo (CERN) 10:45 - 11:15 Web Navigator. 6. What we want for you • To the best of your knowledge: • Verification of the sources used • Additional sources we may have forgotten • Project yourself in the tool • How would you use it? • What would you be missing • …we will do our best • Review process • Suggestions • We need vounteers!!

  7. Thanks for your attention!!
