Get Familiar with Sexual Harassment Training for Employees Ever since "metoo" movement has taken a toll for a while, whether it is a workplace, school or any institution, the need for sexual harassment training for employees has become a necessity. Around 85% of women have faced some or other form of sexual harassment at their workplace. And with growing numbers of victims speaking up about their experiences, the owners have started paying heed to address these issues pretty seriously. Before starting off with the training, it is crucial to identify what is exactly sexual harassment. Now, this can be of varied forms. It can be verbal, non-verbal or physical. Any employee who passes sexual comments or makes offensive jokes fall under the category of verbal harassment. Use practical examples to identify the correct form of sexual harassment so that one is not mistaken. Men and women both can fall a prey to sexual misconduct, therefore organization should create a special cell where men and women can express and communicate the problem freely. One can appoint people responsible to address and hear such complaints, preferably from each gender to ensure the comfort of speaking with same sex. Create policies for sexual harassment and make employees well aware of such gestures and advances. Conduct open discussions and seminars to encourage employees to report and bring into notice any intimidation in the premises. Make sure the complaint is taken seriously and action has been taken. Employee should also have the right to keep a check on the process of their complaint. The key to a company’s productivity depends solely on its employees and one should remain consistent in their efforts. Never overlook any harassment complaint before it's too late. Make sure regular meetings are held to avoid and check any sexual misbehavior is not ignored.
