Financial Structure for Women’s Forum – Option Based on Bank of America banking services Doing Business As Setting up Account • Open a DBA account • MUTA By Laws must reflect Women’s Forum • Example of account setup: • Line 1 – Mutual Union of Tiv in America (MUTA) • Line 2 – DBA Women’s Forum (WF) • Line 3 – Expense • Signature card with WF Treasurer • WF President • MUTA Treasure – optional (safeguard) Line 1 - must contain the name of the Corporation Line 2 - must contain the description of “DBA” Line 3 - must contain the description and purpose of the organization

Technology Update Online Transactions Benefit • PayPal • Fees - % is based on donation/payment amount • Square • Fees - % is based on donation/payment amount • Email group setup for online transaction • Exco – members only Members can pay in advance via website Receive direct funds into the account at the time of the convention Reduce risk of bank fees for returned checks

First National Bank of Nigeria Bank visit in Nigeria On May 23,2013 Outstanding Task • Added the MUTA Treasure to the account • Treasure signed the signature card • Next step Audit the account • Create report history of transactions Debits/Credits • President setup the Online Banking • Reviewed Banking transactions • Task with sending the Login and Password to the Treasure • Audit the account • Reconcile any payments owed • President account became locked • Due to forgetting password • Unable to give to the Treasure access to the account via ‘Online’

Accomplishments • Audit the bank history and account access • 2009 – added 3people with full access to the account • 2010- added 3 additional names to the account for full access • 2011- added 3 additional names to the account for full access • 2012 – 2 names were added to the account for full access VP & Treasurer • 2012 – I removed 8 names that were previously added to the account • Current access, Treasure – O’. Diwa, VP – J. Zume and President – J. Unogo • Visited First National Bank of Nigeria with the President and was added to the account for financial audit and reporting • Online Transactions - re-validated setup to ensure it is linked to MUTA’s Bank of America business account • Created an email address to provide complete transparency during my tenure and with the new treasurer going forward. • Recommended the EXCO committee set pre-scheduled standing meetings.
