  2. Definition • A Christian religious rite consisting of immersion in or sprinkling with water as a sign that the subject is cleansed from sin and constituted as a member of the Church.

  3. Introduction • In this presentation we are going to explain many things about What is baptism, why baptism is necessary, things to do before baptize, what happen when you baptize, and what will happen after you baptized.

  4. What is Baptism • Baptism is a symbol of our union with Christ. If you baptized mean that you are willing to become Christian and going close to Christ.

  5. Baptism is the forgiveness of our sins. One way to ask for forgiveness in Christianity is by baptism.

  6. Baptism is our reception of the Holy Spirit. We will receive the holy spirit when we are going to baptize.

  7. Why is baptism necessary • Baptism is the final step of salvation process. Once you have accepted Jesus as your savior and have repented of your sins you should be baptized.

  8. By baptism we confess our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We accept the things we have done to Jesus.

  9. By baptism we testify of our death to sin and of our purpose to walk in newness of life. We accept to live in new way.

  10. Things to do before baptize • You need to accept Jesus as your savior. You can accept Jesus as your savior by understand how Jesus helped us from sin.

  11. You need to remove self from the throne of your life and replace it with God. You need to let God control you by stop thinking about yourself.

  12. What Happen when you baptize • When you are put underwater mean your sin was buried under the water. Your sin will be remove from you with the water.

  13. What will happen after you baptized • When you come out of the water you are new person. Your sin will be buried under the water, so when you come out it is like you was reborn.

  14. Bible texts • Matthew 3:13-17 • 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” • 15 Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness. "Then John consented. • 16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.  • 17And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” In these verses Jesus was baptized

  15. Conclusion • We are baptized because we understand that Jesus is our savior. We can be clean by baptism with accepted God to control you. When we baptize our sin were remove by water and you will receive the holy spirit.
