  2. Biography of Bethany. • Bethany was bornon 8 February, 1990 in Hawaii. • Bethany was fond of surfing with her father and mother.

  3. Her family. • Father Tom, mother Cherie, brothers Tim and Noah.

  4. On 13 October, 2003 Bethany was attacked by a tiger shark. As a result, Bethany lost her left arm. Bethany was in hospital for a month .

  5. Bethany’s parents and friends were sure that she would no longer go in for surfing, but ten weeks later Bethany was already on the board surfing and training hard!

  6. After some time a special board was made for Bethany. It could be operated by one hand much easier.

  7. On 8 April, 2011 the premiere of a movie "Soul Surfer“ came out. It was based on Bethany Hamilton’s inspirational story.
