  2. Introduction Availability of coal in required quantity in a cost effective manner is the most important aspect for operation of a coal based power plant. The present coal stock at NSPCL Bhilai has gone down to super critical level and we are striving hard to keep the generation on as per schedule. In this presentation, coal requirement for Bhilai 2x250 MW units is analyzed and tried to find some additional sources to arrange coal for it. NSPCL BHILAI

Again coal crisis emerged during 17-18 and coal stock dropped down, carpet coal used occasionally to avoid unit S/D.Coal stock is presently at super critical level (<3 days) at NSPCL Bhilai NSPCL BHILAI

  12. Conclusion Linkage coal are the most economical source, to keep ECR at lowest possible level. Effort should be made to enhance materialisation under flexi scheme as per rolling plan / coal supply matrix Looking into present coal scenario and offer from SECL, NSPCL may need to resort to lift small % of linkage coal by RCR mode on trial basis Option to procure small % of coal through E-auction may also be kept ready. Limitation • Availability of coal and related offer is prerogative of coal supplier, any dispute to be dealt with as per FSA provision. • Scope of work and terms and conditions related with proper monitoring of coal dispatch by RCR mode to be looked after as per site requirement. • The prices in the estimates are indicative only, actual prices may very.
