INTRODUCTION • DATE OF BIRTH: SEPTEMBER 27, 1722 • PLACE OF BIRTH: BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS • EDUCATION: HARVARD COLLEGE • Date HE DIED: OCTOBER 2, 1803 AT THE AGE OF 81 • I picked this person because I wanted to learn more information about him. He was also a big person in history from signing the Declaration of Independence. Also why did he sign Declaration of Independence. Samuel Adams was also a famous writer, he used his writing skills to support Massachusetts patriots. Samuel Adams was a courageous person .

  3. CHILDHOOD • FATHER: SAMUEL ADAMS SR. (1698-1748) • MOTHER: MARY FIFIED ADAMS (1694-1748) Samuel Adams enjoyed fishing and swimming, and when winter comes he loves to sled and ice skating. Samuel Adams was a very smart child. He went to Latin school once or twice in the afternoons each week and all day on Sundays. He also worked with his father at his beer brewery at the age of 10. At the age 14 he went to Harvard college, people at that age went to college. His parents were very religious and Adams mostly spent his time in churches writing stuff in his note book which he took everywhere he went. Adams parents read him the bible all the time. As he grew older he continued to be influenced by his puritan background. The puritan believed that god chose certain people to go heaven.

  4. Adolescence Samuel Adams was in college for all of his teen years. He went to college at Harvard college at the age of 14. People at that age went to college back then. He went to Harvard because he lived near that college, Harvard college was near Cambridge and Adams lived in Boston. In college he learned a lot of new things. He learned Greek, Roman, geography, religion, math, astronomy, and composition. Adams would wake up very early because he first class would start at 6am. In 1740 Samuel Adams graduated from Harvard and became a minster and a lawyer before studying he business. He earned his masters degree from Harvard in 1743. He was 18 when u gradated college.

  5. Adulthood In Samuel Adams adult hood, he was a big political guy, he won a lot of local elections, he held number of government position. He wanted justice of peace. He was a selectman and a representative to the general court. In 1741 a political and economic crisis struck the Adams family. In 1746 24 year old Samuel Adams was elected to his first public office as a clerk of Boston Market. In 1748 Samuel Adams father died, that’s when Samuel Adams took over of the Adams family's malting business. Adams got married to Elizabeth wells in 1764 he was 28 years old. He had 6 children and only 2 mad it to adulthood. Hannah Adams and Samuel Adams the 3.

  7. What was the Most Interesting Thing I Learned The most interesting thing I learned about Samuel Adams. He had many jobs in the government as a senator and representative . He was also a wanted man for many years and they never caught him. He would ran and hide all over Massachusetts and mostly of Connecticut. He was an really smart guy, the most thing that got me interested was that he lead the patriot to the Boston tea party. He also worked in a beer brewery when he was 10, imaging Samuel Adams making beer its really interesting. He was also one of the people to sign the Declaration of Independence.

  8. Contributions Samuel Adams signed his name in the Declaration of Independence. He lead the people to do the Boston tea party, that day the people got to the British boat and dumped all the tea in the boat. He was at many Continental Congress meeting as a Representative. Samuel Adams was a great leader for the war that they had with the British. He also own his own beer brewery and his own business as a lawyer.
