Pay Codes, Earnings, Deductions, Benefits • Every system calls their earnings something different, getting use to terminology will be the biggest change you will have • If you use codes, now is the time to review and change as needed • Set up new codes or set up multiple codes to make things easier • Be aware of drop downs on your system to know how you the code, or description can be helpful e • Know how all your earnings, or benefits are taxed

DATES • Benefit Start Dates-Payroll/HR • Seniority Dates- Payroll/HR • Prior Start dates-Due to purchase • Other dates needed by employee • Understand what date field does what • How it will be populated (Quitter file, special file) BANKING • Positive Pay • Manual Check stock: Validate with the bank • Pre-note prior to live or on 1st test load of masters
