RI Vision / TRF Mission • Rotary International Vision – To provide a vibrant service organization of diverse community leaders who actively collaborate to improve lives locally and worldwide. • The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Mission - To ENABLE Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

Why The Rotary Foundation? • Our name is Rotary International • We are Rotarians – shouldn’t The Rotary Foundation be one our charities of choice? • Rotary Club monitor “on the ground” • Tough reporting and checking system • Charity Navigator’s highest (4-star) rating (100 out of 100) • This is what allows us to do our good works.

  5. TRF Factoids (Data from RY2014-2015) • Foundation Approved 487 District Grants ($23.8M) • Foundation Approved 1078 Global Grants ($64.9M) • 89 Peace Fellows and 6 Rotary Peace Centers ($3.8M) • PolioPlus program awards, including PolioPlus Partners grants, totaled $123M • Total $215.5M

ANNUAL FUND GIVING OPTIONS • Annual Fund - Share • Annual Fund – World Fund • Annual Fund - Peace and Conflict Prevention/ Resolution • Annual Fund - Disease Prevention and Treatment • Annual Fund - Water and Sanitation • Annual Fund - Maternal and Child Health • Annual Fund - Basic Education and Literacy • Annual Fund - Economic and Community Development • 50% of Annual Fund-Share returns to the District after 3 three years • Designate Area of Focus in Grants not when donating

  8. WAYS TO GIVE • Rotary Direct • Recurring/automated giving: • Minimum amount $10 • Twofer - donate and get reward points from credit card. • Promoting giving by club dues option • Daily Change Jars • Club Fundraisers

  9. WAYS TO GIVE • Incentives • Use club Paul Harris points to reward a member for signing up for Rotary Direct • Give points to make a PHF if Rotarian becomes a SM and remains a SM until cash equivalent to the points donated is achieved • Suggestions?

TRF GIVING RECOGNITION • Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) • $ 25 every year • Annual Fund (SHARE) • Club must also have $100 per capita • Sustaining Member (SM) • $100 each year • Annual Fund (SHARE) • Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) • Cumulative $ or points = 1000 • Annual Fund or Polio Plus or Approved Foundation Grants • Paul Harris Society (PHS) • $1000 per year as long as a Rotarian is able • Annual Fund or Polio Plus or Approved Foundation Grants

PAUL HARRIS SOCIETY • Purpose - To identify, engage, and thank members who have the ability and desire to make substantial annual gifts that help others here at home and around the world, providing “a gift that keeps on giving.” • District 7610 PHS - 245+ members provided to TRF a minimum of $245,000+ each Rotary Year.
