  5. Working in groups , students will gain competence in a wide range of skills • listening; • thinking; • speaking; • writing; • reading.

  6. Possible problems • Takes too much time • Less Content Coverage • Less Learning • Difficult to assess learning • Student resistance • Learning is a solitary practice • Students must be taught certain amount of information before they can work in groups

  7. Group Rules The sooner they are set and followed –the better interaction • We share ideas. • We take turns to speak. • We try to agree. • We respect other pupil’s ideas. • We listen to each other. • We involve everybody. • We don’t shout or get angry. • We talk one at a time • .
