  2. Peace meal Approach • To take something into smaller sections • Taking the Immigration Bill into 5 small sections • Main focus Border security • Failed stand alone small bills

  3. Immigration bill passed in the senate • Too “broad” • Offers quick legal status but withholds full citizenship rights until some conditions are met. Such as passing background checks, paying taxes, fees, learning English etc. • Offers extensive border security

  4. A never ending Goal post • Republicans want more border security than what the bill already offers • They keep pushing their goal post in a way to avoid the big picture • House representatives strongly disagree with ever given illegal immigrants the chance to receive legal status

  5. Fallen Behind schedule • House representatives keep pushing it aside • Hope to take action by middle next year • The longer we wait the more dysfunctional it becomes
