  2. What does our Holy Bible say?… Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. (James 5:14-15)

  3. Saints Cosman and Damian Loved God Loved Others They were filled with the spirit of charity that they treated the sick for free.

  4. Prayed first, BEFORE treating the sick. “O, Jesus... You are the real and true Physician... Heal him O Lord Jesus so that he may believe in You O Lord... Amen”.

  5. Examined the patient and wrote a prescription. But didn’t stop there…

  6. They continued to pray for their patients.

  7. God healed so many people through them. So many people believed in Jesus because of them.

  8. Ruler became very angry and threatened them. Their response… For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21)

  11. Red-hot Iron beds… Boiling water… Burnings and beatings…

  12. Through all this the Lord raised them up whole and unharmed to reveal His glory to His saints.
