Background l.jpg
Background

  • Inspiration.

    • Just the shear number of blind people in the United States (close to 1.3 million) and in the world (which is close to 37 million).

  • Grocery stores have many obstacles that could cause grief for a blind shopper.

  • Furthering last year’s project since they did not complete the entire system.

  • The BASS team had set out to have a store management & list creation web component to cater to blind users as well as store owners.

  • Also, last year’s project worked without a full scale test in a grocery store.
