  2. What We Do Representation within sports Teach athletes to represent themselves professionally Ensure there are adequate communication pathways Advise on selection/appeals processes First point of contact when internal processes break down

  3. What We Do Representation outside of sports Be the independent voice of all elite UK athletes Represent athletes to all major sporting organisations and key decision makers within sport– links with UKS, SE, BOA, BPA. Represent UK athletes views to EOC & IOC

  7. Elections BAC is governed by a council of its members Sports elect two representatives to sit on council Each sport has one vote Each sport can nominate athletes to sit on the committees

  9. Sports Specific Committee Assist and encourage the setting up of Athlete Representation within the Sports Addressing sports specific issues within the NGB’s To ensure that there are adequate appeals procedures within each sport To ensure the rights of the athlete are up held within the NGB’s

  10. World Class Committee Working with Anti-Doping Directorate Athlete Personal Awards Athlete Agreements

  11. Olympic Committee Advises and assists the BOA in sending teams to the Olympic Games. Production of the Olympic Athletes Report after every Winter and Summer Games. Team Members Agreement Representation on the BOA

  12. Paralympic Committee Advises and assists the BPA in sending teams to the Paralympic Games. Production of the Paralympic Athletes Report Team Members Agreement To give feedback and advice to the BPA on Paralympic camps/holding camps and other schemes.

  13. Our Aims Each athlete to have one person to call who can look after their problem for them Clear communications in each sport Effective representation on all NGBs, Impartial athlete representatives conveying the views of the athletes Proper communication of services to athletes
