  3. Northwest Coast The tribes were located in the Western Hemisphere, by the Columbia river passing through Washington and Oregon. This land was very wet. Trading Dalles was the gratis trading center in North America. Chinese people come to trade in warmer summer. Also trade for goods. Caption box Paste u.r.l for picture here

  4. Northwest Coast Columbia River The columbia river pass through a narrow gap and cliffs. That area is called Dalles. Columbia River was the highway of the North West, carrying people form place to place in wooden dugouts. Caption box

  5. Northwest Indians Location and Shelter Northwest Indians Location and Shelter They lived beneath the ocean and rugged mountain ranges. They build house whit wood. Travel They travelby water. Traveling was hard by feet. Boats are made out hollow wood Food Indians caught fish and small game animals. They grow there own food. They hunted deer, bear, and other animals.   6. The Chinooks Shelter Trading They traded shells, fish, jewels, sea oil, dugouts, mask basks and trading people for slave. They make there own shelter. They lived in village made up of rows of wood .Houses also has no window.

  7. Celebration Wealth Celebration During a pot land, and hosts gave valuable gifts and show of wealth. Pot latches were special gathering and celebration The wealth is Important to them. Only very important people could use slaves for serve. Tribes often attack other people.

  8. The Makah’s Food They eat and hade plenty of fish. They bulled canoes to hunt in the sea. Hunting The canoes are 6 feet wide and carry up 60 people.
