The 20th. century was the century of the industrial revolution which consumed a huge amount of fossil fuels of the humanity, caused environment’s imbalance, pollution, caused greenhouse effect making global warming and caused climate change and other natural disasters. The fossil fuels sources will be depleted in the near future maybe in the mid or the end of the 21st. century.

  3. Now is the era of Renewable Energy "A TIME FOR GREEN and CLEAN ENERGY". The revolution of renewable energy will grow significantly, contribute to green growth and development, change the face of the world, prevent energy wars and bring prosperity, happiness to mankind in the 21st. century.

GREEN and CLEAN ENERGY FOR VIETNAM & ASEAN – PERSPECTIVEVietnam is located in the heart of Asia with the continental shelf and exclusive economic zone in the East Sea of more than 1 million km² . Vietnam is the tropical monsoon climate country, where have good of sun radiation and wind condense, wind speed, rainfall every year. Vietnam population will be nearly 100 million by 2015 and together with more than 600 million people of the Southeast Asian Nations – ASEAN Union which will shared market with a GDP of over $2,000 billion by 2015.

According to energy organizations and the World Bank’s evaluations, Vietnam has great potential for renewable energy, wind energy with estimated capacity of more than 513,000 MW with good wind speed from 6m/s.There are nearly 100 projects along the 3260-km sea coast and islands of Vietnam have been granted investment licenses, deployed and operating with a total registered capital of billions of dollars and financial support from USA, EUROPE. Renewable energy 5,6% to 2020 9,5% to 2030 (?)6MW wind power in PhuQuy Islands

Solar energy with radiation from 4-6KW/sqm/day is being invested in research and development production to serve the mountainous, rural areas, islands, including two large islands in the East Sea: Hoang Sa Paracel and Truong Sa Islands along with nearly 4000 other islands. Tidal energy with enormous potential to produce electricity will serve directly to more than 40 million people in Mekong river delta and coastal areas

  7. Bio-Fuels with great potential of raw materials production such as over 10 million tons of cassava/year ranked 5th in the world, sugarcane, shells of coffee nuts, rubber seed... The forecasted demand for Bio-Fuels can reach 2 million tons of ethanol, biodiesel E5 by 2025. Green Field Ethanol Plant 100,000TPY in Quang Nam Province

  8. Vietnam has a great potential for natural gas, biogas, agricultural by-products (biomass) which is nearly 100 million tons a year as the top producer and exporter of rice, coffee in the world. Vietnam is ranked among the top potential countries for renewable energy in Southeast Asia.

The Science-High-Tech-Park in Ho Chi Minh City for research and development of science, technology transfer to serve the renewable energy industry, and Biofuel is absolutely right and contains strategic vision. It will bring great benefits to the country, set an example as the pioneer for the rest of the country to follow
