  1. Marriage – Reflecting God’s Love To explain how Christian marriage reflects God’s love To give biblical evidence for how Christian marriage reflects God’s love To evaluate biblical teaching about how spouses should treat each other.

  2. Design a poster to show how a Christian marriage is the image of God’s love. • Write in the 4 headings as 4 sections of your poster. • Include the teaching s about marriage under the correct headings. • Look up the quotes that colour- match the headings. Explain what the quote is saying. • Design and include your own symbol of marriage • Mk 10:8-9, Mal 2:15 SACRAMENT The two become one flesh in a gift of self to each other: like Christ gave himself for his people. Gen1:28 • SELF-GIVING Jer 31:3, Isa. 62:5 • FAITHFUL, LIFE-LONG Gen 2:24, Ephesians 5:25 • LIFE-GIVING In a Church marriage, couples receive God’s grace that makes them one, and makes their love holy. What God has united, man must not divide. God blessed them and said “be fruitful and multiply” . So sexual union is life giving; man and woman discover the gift of mother/ fatherhood. Married love reflects the way God loves his people - with unfailing, constant love. *** Look up and explain what Corinthians 13:4-7 & Ephesians 5:22-32 say about how spouses should treat each other. Do you agree? Give your own view.
