Parent Involvement • How can I help at home? • - Read with your child and talk about what you read • - Establish a routine and workspace for homework • - Provide guidance during homework and check work • - Acknowledge your child’s successes and encourage him/her to learn from mistakes • - Reach out to your child’s teacher when you have concerns (academic, behavior) • - The more we know as educators the better, inform us if you have a concern

Reminders • Lunchtime • - new Pay It Forward system – much easier than money • Healthy Treats and Celebrations • - Contact the school nurse before birthdays or parties • - See list of suggestions in the nurse’s office • Drop off • - use the designated drop off zones, please don’t exit your car in the car line

  8. Noteworthy • Attendance/Tardy • - Nothing is more important than being in school, on time, if your child is healthy. • Invention Convention • - Students create an invention based on a problem. Registration forms available tonight and online.
