  2. This is the diagram that appears on the test. What’s missing? Labels. You must know the identification, definition and use of each port.

  3. Provides connection for keyboard. Provides a connection between the computer and a mouse. USB provides power and connection for printers, mice etc. Replaces serial and parallel port. Devices can be connected while the computer is powered up. Provides printer connection and is being replaced by USB port. Also known as the printer port. Connection for serial devices such as cameras, mice, and old printers. USB replaces the serial port. Delivers audio to speakers. Input for outside audio source (external CD player, turntable) to capture audio. Records input from external microphone.

  4. Video port- plug in your video monitor (screen) here. Ethernet/modem card- You can plug in an Ethernet adapter (network connection) or analog (phone) modem here.
