  2. REAL NUMBER SYSTEM: 100 points Classify each number by determining all sets of numbers to which IT belongs. a.) 4 b.)

  3. ADDING/SUBTRACTING Integers: 100 points In Louisiana, the highest point of elevation is Driskill Mountain at 535 feet above sea level, and the lowest point of elevation is in New Orleans at 8 feet below sea level. Write an expression that represents the difference between these two measures. Then determine the difference. Show all work.

  4. MULTIPLYING/DIVIDING INTEGERS: 100 POINTS During a 10-day period, the balance of Marta’s checking account dropped $290. Write aN Expression to represent the change. Then determine the average daily change in account balance during that 10-day period. Show all work.

  5. REAL NUMBER SYSTEM: 200 points Classify each number by determining all sets of numbers to which IT belongs. a.) 3.65 b.) -96

  6. ADDING/SUBTRACTING INTEGERS: 200 POINTS You purchase a stock in a textile manufacturing company for $48 per share. On Monday the stock gained $8, on Tuesday the stock lost $12, and on Wednesday, the stock lost $2. Write an expression that represents the opening price of your stock when the market opens Thursday. Then determine this value. Show all work.

  7. MULTIPLYING/DIVIDING INTEGERS: 200 POINTS For one full week, Cheng spent $12.50 per day on lunch. Write an expression using integers to show the overall impact or change to the total amount of money he had budgeted for food expenses. Then determine that amount. Show all work.

  8. REAL NUMBER SYSTEM: 300 POINTS Determine whether each statement is trueor false. If the statement is true, explain your reasoning. If the statement is false, provide an example that disproves the statement. All whole numbers are natural numbers.

  9. Adding/Subtracting Integers: 300 Points Felipe kept track of his earnings and expenses for the past month. Write an expression that represents the amount of money, if any, he has at the end of the month. Then determine that amount. Show all work.

  10. MULTIPLYING/DIVIDING INTEGERS: 300 POINTS Water is draining from an aquarium at a rate of 3 gallons per minute. Write aNexpression using Integers to show the total change to the amount of water in the aquarium after 45 minutes of draining. Then determine and explain that amount. Show all work.

  11. REAL NUMBER SYSTEM: 400 POINTS Determine whether each statement is trueor false. If the statement is true, explain your reasoning. If the statement is false, provide an example that disproves the statement. An integer cannot be a rational number.

  12. Adding/Subtracting Integers: 400 Points The table shows some of the top 10 leaders in a golf tournament after playing the front 9 holes. Write an expression that represents the difference between the scores of the golfer that is in 5th place and the leader. Then determine this value. Show all work.

  13. MULTIPLYING/DIVIDING INTEGERS: 400 POINTS The lowest point of elevation in the United States is at Death Valley National Park in California at 282 feet below sea level. The Dead Sea in Israel is 1,360 feet below sea level. Write aN expression that could be used to find how many times greater the Dead Sea lies below sea level than Death Valley. Then Determine how many times greater. Round to the nearest whole number. Show all work.
