State Cigarette Tax Increase (Act 316, July 2006):

- increases the cigarette tax in six annual steps by 1 cent/cigarette or 20 cents/pack (from $1.40/pack to eventually $2.60/pack)

- earmarks tax revenue for four health care entities

- CRCH receives 2 cents/cigarette or 40 cents per pack

- no sunset date
