  3. Timeline • November 2009: Outreach recruits TAG (teen advisory groups) to become involved • December 2009: Outreach sends supplies to TAGS • January 2010: TAGs create Valentine’s • February 2010: Valentine’s mailed

  4. History • The Valentine’s Day Card project began small in 2005 with the TAG group at Oxboro wanting to do a community service project with seniors • Valentine Cards were only sent to a few At Home Customers

  5. History • By 2008, all of the Library’s active TAGs became involved. • Women at the Adult Corrections Facility also made cards • Valentine’s cards were now able to go to the 800 plus At Home customers

  6. 2010 additions • In 2010, groups from libraries with city of Minneapolis became involved, including the group at Teen Central • Students from Valley View Middle School in Bloomington expanded the project by creating five hundred cards for residents living at deposit collection sites

  7. Involved Teen Groups 2010 • International Teen Club from Brookdale Library • Teens advisory groups from Brooklyn Park, East Lake, Franklin, North Regional, Oxboro, Ridgedale, Southdale, St. Louis Park, and Westonka libraries

  8. Involved Teen Groups 2010 • County-wide teen groups from Teens Online and Teen Central • Students in the Homework Hub tutoring program at Augsburg Park and East lake • District 287 VECTOR program helped in the mailing process
