  1. Christmas time and the most beautiful songs

  2. There is a popular Christmas carol, composed in 1818 in Austria. It was declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in March 2011. The song was first performed on Christmas Eve 1818 at St Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf. Silent night (Sol) Silent night, holy night! All is calm, All is bright Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child Holy Infant so Tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace. Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight! Glories stream from heaven afar; Heavenly hosts sing Al-le-lu-ia! Christ the Saviour is born! Christ the Saviour is born! Silent night, holy night! Wondrous star, lend thy light! With the angels let us sing Alleluia to our King! Christ the Saviour is here, Jesus the Saviour is here! Silent night, Holy night! Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from Thy holy face, With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus Lord at thy birth;

  3. We wish you a Merry Christmas There is a popular sixteenth-century Englishcarol from the West Country of England. The origin of this Christmas carol lies in the English tradition where wealthy people of the community gave Christmas treats to the carolers on Christmas Eve, such as figgy puddings. It is one of the few English traditional carols that mentions the New Year celebration. (Fa) We wish you a Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year. Good tidings to you Wherever you are Good Tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year Oh, bring us a figgy pudding And a cup of good cheer Be near or be far Wherever you are We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We won’t go until we get some So bring it right here For family, for friends For peace among men We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

  4. White Christmas The song White Christmas is the most famous and popular of all the  Christmas songs. The music and lyrics for White Christmas were written in 1942 and originally appeared in the movie Holiday Inn starring Bing Crosby. The lyrics of White Christmas recall the soldiers fighting in the Second World War and their families who were waiting for them back home. The song and recording of White Christmas was so popular that it was later reprised in the movie called after its name White Christmas. (La) I'm dreaming of a white Christmas Just like the ones I used to know Where the treetops glisten And children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write May your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write May your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white.

  5. There is a song written by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, released in 1971. Originally a protest song about the Vietnam War, "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" has since then become a Christmas standard, frequently sung by other artists. Happy Christmas (War is over) 1 So this is Christmas And what have you done? Another year over And a new one just begun  2 And so this is Christmas I hope you have fun The near and the dear ones The old and the young  3 A very Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one Without any fear  1b And so this is ChristmasFor weak and for strong For rich and the poor onesThe road is so long 2b And so happy ChristmasFor black and for whiteFor yellow and red onesLet's stop all the fight 3b A very Merry Christmas  And a Happy New Year Let's hope it's a good one Without any fear. .War is over, if you want it War is over, now

  6. And now....so this is Christmas, and what you shall do?
