  2. When can you come to the library? Before school and at lunch- passes are in the cafeteria During class- with your teacher’s permission and a signed pass After school- NO PASS NEEDED!

  3. When is the library open? Monday- Thursday 7:45-4:00 Friday 7:45-3:40

  4. Areas of the library: • Circulation Desk (Where you sign in!) • Fiction • Nonfiction Biographies/Autobiographies • Graphic Novels/Comics • Computers

  5. Find What You Need: • Fiction- author's last name • Nonfiction- Dewey Decimal System- signs will guide you • Biographies- last name of the subject • Ask Ms. Sylvia- she loves to help!!

  6. Library Catalog • Online: catalog.austinisd.org • THREE computers in the library always ready for you to search! • Can be used from home or anywhere on campus! • Search by title, author, subject, and other criteria

  7. All the ways to read library books!! Visit the library and checkout a book! Bonus: You get to see Ms. Sylvia and she can help you!

  8. Overdrive- Sora App • Small’s Online Library! • Use the app on Android or iOS • Use SoraApp.com online • Checkout 2 books for 2 weeks • No late or lost books • Request a book and check it out that day! Username: student id (number only) Password: small

  9. MackinVia • AISD’s Online Library • No log in needed when you use the portal. • Works just like Sora • See the website for more info!
