  4. Physical Place Himalaya Mountains are the tallest Mountain range in the world. They are located in Northern and Northeastern India. Ganges River is one of the major rivers in India. It’s considered a holy river by Hindus.

  5. Language: India has18 official languages. The two most commonly spoken are Hindi and English. Form of Government: India has a Democratic Republic. The Prime minister, Manmohan Singh, is the head of the government. Cultural Place Religion: 80% of the people living in India are Hindu. Most believe in reincarnation, karma, and dharma.

Region Physical: The Thar Desert is a large, arid region in the Northwestern part of India. People living here have to adapt to the constantly changing landscape, and the rearranging of terrain due to sandstorms and wind.
