B/W Wars #11: Levels of Intervention: Economic Sanctions : • Embargo (refuse to buy products) • Refusal to sell products Limited Military Action : • Targeted bombings • Specialist Soldiers NO intervention WAR Diplomacy: • Condemning action • Negotiating w/leaders Limited Intervention: • Giving $, supplies • Humanitarian aid (food, medicine, etc)

  2. Place the # for each of these along the level of intervention spectrum. • US sends in 400 soldiers to help Syrian forces. • North Korea can no longer export any natural resources, including coal which brings them $1 billion/year. • Obama publicly condemned Russia’s invasion of eastern Ukraine. • Navy Seals are sent in to capture Osama Bin Laden. • US airstrikes hit an ISIS headquarters. • US has thousands of soldiers still in Afghanistan.
