Maine is a “drive” market….

Of the overnight pleasure trip visitors to Maine:

  • 30% are from Massachusetts

  • 50% are from New England states

  • 69% are from Northeast US

  • Older (Median age 46.4 versus 45.1)

  • Childless (76% versus 73%)

  • Better educated (69% versus 61% with some college)

  • White collar (75% versus 71%)

  • Higher income (%61 versus 56% with $50K+)
