2. What Documents? • 1. We should merge COAST into the overall GOES-R Risk Reduction activity. • Review current GOES-R RISK REDUCTION PLAN and add to and edit the parts relating to ocean applications and HES-CW as indicated by Paul Menzel in his presentation • Need to make a strong case for what is gained from geostationary data • In the context of already having VIIRS • Emphasize the value of high frequency of sampling with appropriate SNR and spatial resolution for the coastal ocean • Show a strong connection with in-situ programs particularly coastal observatories • 2. Prepare a white paper (3-6 pgs.?) as a separate document that makes the case for HES-CW. • 3. Take the white paper text and graphic examples to make a brochure. • 4. Prepare a presentation based on the brochure information. • For presentation to NOAA and other management • For presentation by the COAST team members at their institutions and to their management to build a constituency for HES-CW
