  2. Higher education has always been an important thing for the people these days. That is one of the main reasons why they are always trying to make sure that SATs are always on their list of priorities when they want to find an opportunity in education. Some Things You Don’t Know About The SATs Presented below are some of the most important things that you should be knowing about the amazing SATs. • SATs were mainly used as a particular scholarship exam that could provide entry to all the Ivy League institutes.   4. Most of the people who took the SATs were men. Yes, you heard it right, people. Long ago, when SATs were first introduced, most of the people that took the test were men. Most of the applicants wanted to go to Yale. • The first SAT test was a bit different than the present tests. The question paper had about 315 different questions and these were then divided into 9 categories. The entire test took about 97 minutes to finish. It was during the year 2005 when there was a certain portion of essay questions which were added properly to the SAT question paper for the students. However, this section was considered to be optional. • The scores of the test were increased recently. The year 1995 saw the boost up of grades in the SAT examinations. It was during 2013 when the Education Testing Service found out that the different tutoring institutions in South Korea distributed the test paper. The exam was canceled for the month of May. • A man went for the exam more than 12 times. The person who took the SAT test 12 times was Sam Eshaghoff .   7. It was until 2016 that the students lost 0.25 marks for an incorrect answer. So, most of the times, they skipped the answer that they didn’t know. But then in the year 2016, there was no more penalty system. • Foreign languages can give a student some boost in the SAT score.   8. SATs aren’t mandatory for going to college. There are about 800 colleges that don’t really consider the scores of SATs. So, you might still have a chance of getting in admission.
