  2. Introduction It has always been a point of debate among the students whether it's worth taking the SAT exam. While many students believed that taking the SAT exam is an important step in realizing their goal of studying in a foreign university, there are others who believed that rather focusing on their school grades can help them become successful in future. SAT is an important exam and many universities and colleges consider the score of the applicants for the admission in undergraduate courses. Whether one decides to take this exam or not it’s a personal choice of the students and there are various SAT classes conducted in Singapore and many other countries that provide assistance to the students if they wish to sit for SAT. However, it doesn’t guarantee a student’s successful academic future.

Cons of SAT exam Though SAT conducted in Singapore and other worldwide nations offer various benefits such as wide acceptance among colleges and universities, obtaining a scholarship, a great form of preparation for other similar standardized tests, it has some disadvantages as well. Sat Alone Does Not Guarantee The Student's Success in The College Years Various studies show that students with lower GPA and higher SAT scores do far worse than the students with higher GPA and lower SAT scores in their colleges. Many students irrespective of their GPA score takes SAT private tuitionsarranged in many countries worldwide including Singapore to get a higher SAT score. As a matter of fact, it has been noticed that student who scored well in both GPA and SAT have a higher chance of meeting with academic success. As a result, it could be said, that judging only on SAT score, cannot guarantee a student's success in academics, rather a combination of both GPA and SAT score can help in predicting the student's success in college years.

  5. Excess Importance on SAT The SAT score is given too much importance by colleges not only at the time of admission but also for providing scholarships based on merit. As a result, students attended various SAT courses organized in Singapore and other countries to get a higher score. For this matter, students who have different learning styles that are not compatible with the SAT structure or who have talents in other ways, are at a disadvantage due to the over-importance of SAT. Due to this reason, more and more schools are becoming test-optional, as they consider that test scores along with various factors can help to determine the academic success of students in colleges.

Investment of a Lot of Time, Energy and Money is Involved in SAT Preparation SAT exam preparation is quite time-consuming and expensive and requires students to put up a lot of effort for the same. While students wonder about the worthiness of attending the SAT Singaporeexam in terms of college admission, they might consider preparing for the SAT is complete wastage of time and money. Rather they would be interested in using the same time in improving their grades and polishing their extracurricular activities. The score of SAT exam organized in Singapore and other nations worldwide might have a positive impact on student’s academic success, but a low score at SAT doesn’t indicate the opposite. Many colleges are putting emphasis on the factors outside test scores to determine a student’s academic success.
