  2. Undergraduate education Students of the Faculty Medicine acquire 3 specialties: • Medicine (MD degree) • Dentistry (DDM degree); • Occupational therapy (Bachelor’s degree) At the moment there are 900 students enrolled in the all programs.

The Departments of Faculty of Medicine: Department of Internal Medicine; Department of Surgery; Department of Obstetrics-gynecology and Reproductology; Department Neurology and Neurosurgery; Department Medical Radiology and Endoscopy; Department Infectious Diseases and Clinical Immunology; Department of Psychiatric and medical Psychology; Department of Pharmacology; Department of Pediatrics; Department of Emergency and Critical Medicine; Department of Pathology; Department of Public Health; Department of Clinical Anatomy; Department of Urology; Department of Ophthalmology; Department of Dermatogy and venerology; Department of Dentistry.

  7. The process of self-evaluation carried out at the Faculty of Medicine comprised of the following aspects: Mission and goals of the Faculty; Curriculum; Students’ evaluation; Students; Academic staff; Program evaluation; Administration and management; Lifelong learning.

Results of SWOT analysis: Weaknesses: Inadequate curriculum; Lack of quality culture; Inefficient management; Lack of financial sustainability Strengths: Academic staff; Readiness to reform; Problems identified. Additional obstacles: Lack of time; Limited financial resources allocated for the reform Positive factors: Legal framework; Vast experience of developed countries and wide availability of information; University environment; Assistance and interest of foreign partners.

  10. On the basis of the results of self-evaluation we have elaborated a new strategic plan for development consisting of three main directions: New curricula; Development of the structure and system of the department; Development of new, modern and affective approaches and methods of teaching.
