  1. PRESENTATION TASK Classroom Context: This performance assessment focuses on a fifth-grade teacher, Ms. Hernandez, who is preparing a unit on the branches of the United States government. Background: As part of the study on branches of the U.S. government, Ms. Hernandez would like to present to her students a brief slide show presentation outlining the three branches. She would like the presentation to consist of one introductory slide and one slide on each of the three branches of government, and she would like to have each slide in the presentation advance manually. Ms. Hernandez has provided a link to the graphics for the four slides that can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.   2. The Task: Ms. Hernandez has asked the Master Technology Teacher for assistance in creating the presentation. Using your knowledge of presentation software, create a model slide show presentation to Ms. Hernandez’s specifications. In creating this presentation, you should • create four slides using the five files provided by Ms. Hernandez, with each slide containing a title and the appropriate graphic and the provided text displayed as a bulleted list; • format the slides appropriately to communicate to the intended audience (you may resize and manipulate text and graphics as necessary); and • animate the entry of the text into slides 1 and 3, and animate the entry of the graphics into slides 2 and 4 (the animations should occur automatically and not require a mouse or keyboard click). Please complete the task on slides 4-7; save the file and upload it into the wiki on the appropriate page.

  6. The Executive Branch • The Executive Branch is comprised of the President and Vice-President • The President is also the Commander-in-Chief • The President appoints his Cabinet • The President oversees all federal agencies • The Executive Branch enforces all laws

  7. The Judicial Branch • The Judicial Branch is comprised of the Supreme Court and all Federal Courts • The Judicial Branch sees cases that involve federal laws • The Supreme Court has nine justices • The Supreme Court has one Chief Justice and eight Associate Justices
