  3. Our Story The Vietnamese Children’s Charity (VCC) started in 2010 as a group of friends who shared a common passion for charity work in Vietnam. We soon realized that as individuals were were limited but by being organized we could do much more. We became an official non-profit society in 2011. We decided that our purpose will be to directly help the most disadvantaged children of Vietnam.   4. Our Purpose To directly help the most disadvantaged children of Vietnam the the basic necessities of life – food staples (rice, soups, cereals), clothing, books, toys and cash donations. In the future we hope to provide basic medicine and medical care (vaccinations, dental care, etc). The focus is on orphaned/disabled children in the new born – 10 years old age group.   5. About the Children The children we help are often the forgotten of society, beyond the reach of large non-profit organizations. They are orphaned children who often have disabilities both physical & mental. They are under nourished and lack basic medical care. They are also deprived of a full education.
