Start a new topic/thread in your NB “Why and How Do We Inquire” with today’s date (9/19/2013) • Write the learning target • I can identify the processes and pathways of scientific inquiry • I can use Cornell Notes to organize my notes. • Update your TOC • In your notebook, answer the following: Explain the difference between a control and controlled variables. Read Introduction pg. 24 • Get into the groups you worked with for the bacteria investigation. • P&P 1: Create a flowchart that describes the general process of scientific inquiry that you went through in Small Problem. • P&P 2: Explain you diagram to another team. Listen to their explanation of their diagram. • Write 2 similarities and 2 differences between your diagram and theirs. Process and Procedure

  4. On the handout, identify the stages that you experienced and mark them with an X. • Tape the chart into your notebook. Process and Procedure
