CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER Memory Verse: Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” BIBLE PASSAGE:Ephesians 6:10-17 INTRODUCTION: The Christian race, more often than not, is not a bed of roses. It may occasionally bring physical or spiritual wounds. God, however, has given us the equipment for victory. There is no need to be defeated because God has given us His word, which is all we need for victory. May the Holy Spirit grant the needed anointing to cure the wounded soldier, in Jesus’ name.

CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • Outline 1: • DETERMINE THE SOURCE OF THE WOUND. • It is necessary to determine the source of the wound before having a feeling of disappointment, depression, dejection and so on. Satan is the source. He is a thief, destroyer and temper – John 10:10, Job 2:7, Luke 4:5-8.

  7. CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • Outline 2: • STAND YOUR GROUND. • God’s expectation for His children is to stand their grounds in whatever situations they may find themselves – Ephesians 6:13-14. Look unto Jesus only and not the wound – Hebrews 12:1-2. The wound is an evil report – Numbers 13:32and it may lead to depression. God’s word gives the faith that you need to stand – Romans 10:18.

  8. CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • Outline 3: • LIVE HOLY. • God commands holiness. There is need for regular self-examination based on His word and with the help of the Holy Spirit to discover any sins – Hebrews 4:12. A daily life of holiness, however, automatically keeps the believer covered in the blood of Jesus – 1 John 1:7. Sin hinders faith and prayers – Mark 11:25.

  9. CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • Outline 4: • PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD. • God has a well-equipped spiritual armoury available to His children – Ephesians 6:10-18. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. Our weapons of warfare are not carnal but strong towards the pulling down of these strongholds of the devil – 2 Corinthians 10:4.

CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • Outline 5: • SHUN UNBELIEF AND DOUBT. • Unbelief and doubts are weapons in the hands of the devil but God says such cannot receive anything from Him – James 1:2-8. God’s word is constant even when situations are not favourable - Matthew 24:35. All you need to do is to submit to God and resist the devil and all doubts and unbelief will flee from you - James 4:7. Let every thought and desire affirm that you will have what you desire – 2 Corinthians 10:5.

  11. CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • Outline 6: • CONFESS POSITIVELY. • We walk by faith and not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7. The moment you pray and without any doubt, believe that God has heard and begin to confess that He has answered you – Mark 11:24. He took all our infirmities –Matthew 8:17. He healed all that were oppressed of the devil – Acts 10:38.

  12. CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • Outline 7: • GIVE GLORY TO GOD. • This is the perfect will of God concerning us – Philippians 4:6. Consider Abraham who by reason of faith was fully persuaded that what God has promised, He was able to perform, even though both himself and his wife were old - Romans 4:19-21. They gave glory in advance of this testimony.

  13. CURE FOR THE WOUNDED SOLDIER • CONCLUSION • There is still a balm in Gilead for the wounded soul - Jeremiah 8:22. God is the absolute cure. Call on Him today, believe His word and act your faith now.
