  1. Going to a Classical Concert what to expect

  2. Want to attend a classical concert but don’t know where to start?

  3. Check these places to find concert listings: Web Newspaper Radio announcement School bulletin board

  4. What to wear? Well, you don’t need to dress as if going to a state dinner, but don’t wear clothing with holes, rips, or tears in them either. Avoid very short shorts, very casual T-shirts, and flip-flops. A nice shirt and pants are always good choice for men. A nice top and bottom, dress or suite are very classy choice for women.

  5. Time for the Concert! Plan to arrive about 15 minutes before the starting time – make sure you plan time for parking. Once you are in your seat, feel free to familiar yourself with the concert by reading the program.

  6. Few thoughts to keep in mind: • Unless in a dire emergency, do not leave your seat during the performance of a piece. • Turn off your cell phone and pager. • Do not carry on a conversation during the performance. • No matter how much you enjoy the music, do not dance or sing along with the music. • Do not applause between the movements of a piece. • Show all the enthusiasm you saved up at the end of the performance.

  7. Well, that is about it. Hope you enjoy the concert.
