VO Support Group • Creation in EGEE3, continuation of VO Management Group • Main goal : simplify VO management • Interact with other EGEE bodies in that sense • Gather VO needs from VO Managers • Provide VO Managers with • Support • Documentation • Management tools • Make sure VO Managers get the information • Ease communication between VOs and the project • Side goal : simplification may ease EGI transition…

A few missing docs… • 1st and most important : VO documentation repository • FAQ concerning VO Management • Procedures and policies VO managers must be aware of • Procedures and policies users must be aware of (and that manager must then enforce) • Summary of procedures (documents usually point to other docs in EDMS) • How to setup a VO • How to dismantle a VO • …

  5. A few management tools… • CIC portal key and missing features • VO Software area size • core services selection • VOMS groups and role ordered and restricted definition • Generic SAM/Nagios tests for VOs • Enabling VOs to use VOMS enabled collaborative tools (VO mailing lists, VO wikis, chat rooms…)
