THE TECHNOLOGY OF OPTO SENSORS
Under the guidance of
Dr. Partha S.MALLICK
Manoj Kumar BeheraEC200117217
Opto-electronic sensors are the solid state devices used to detect which effect light beams either interrupting the beam or reflecting the beam back to its source.
Principle of Operation-:
Opto-electronic sensors make use of the physical properties of light sensitive materials. sensors change their electrical features based upon the intensity of light striking the receiver.
Sensors in which the measurand acts upon light outside
If the light remains guided within the fiber in the measurement
A force sensor based on bending induced intensity losses
a simple fiber optic displacement sensor
MULTIMODE FIBER SENSORS
Example of Multimode Fiber Sensors -:
OPERATION OF OPTO-ELECTRONIC SENSOR
fiber optic Switches
New Opto-Electronic Sensor, Which Can Detect smoke
Optoelectronic Sensor System for Guidance in Docking
Opto-Sensors are quite simple for most applications, and not only communicate with programmable controls, but can increase product quality and manufacturing speed, as well as reduce size and costs.
Thus opto-sensors are going to play a growing and critical role in the modernized industry.
