  1. Cloudflare Changes User Integrity Check Mechanism

  2. Recent cloudflare bypass scripts launched especially for booters have forced Cloudflare to update its user integrity check mechanism in order to block non-legit visitors (usually means bots or ddos attacks).

  3. As we all know, Cloudflare is a proxy based ddos protection company for both layer 4 and layer 7 ddos attacks.

  4. As their most basic plan is free, a lot of websites owners use their services, therefore making Cloudflare a target for booters and stressers.

  5. Currently a few private, especially bots suitable scripts are out there, being able to send GET requests which bypass Cloudflare’s layer 7 protection and hit the backend server.

  6. That’s why it’s extremely important not to rely only on Cloudflare for mitigating potential threats and learning how to mitigate them yourself using nginx and different services.
