2. Microstation Configuration Set-up Microstation resource files can be stored either locally on the user’s computer or centrally on a network drive. The network location is the more favourable location. The advantage is that the network files can be updated in one location rather than on each individual computer. Then each local station is set-up to point to those resource files

Microstation Configuration Set-up Regardless if the set-up is local or network, it is recommended to create a folder structure similar to the tree below Copy the resource files to the following folders: Path Example: {location}\Vale\Cell\{file} File: Viborder.cel File: Vale cell.zip File: Dgnlibv8.zip File: V8 seed 2D.dgn File: Border.mvba File: Valefont.rsc

4. Microstation Configuration Set-up To set-up the Microstation Configuration – go to Workspace > Configuration

5. Microstation Configuration Set-up Go to each applicable MS_ config variable and define the search path to the appropriate resource file

6. Microstation Configuration Set-up Note: For MS_CELL and MS_VBASEARCHDIRECTORIES, the folder location is defined rather than the resource file
