  1. Short on | Protectors

  2. Protectors shall minimise the impact energy in case of a fall. This means absorbing as much energy as possible, to prevent injury. All protectors intended for the protection of motorcycle riders must pass a test and be certified to carry the CE-label. The protector shall carry a label indicating the test standard used, what part of the body it is intended to protect and, in some cases, the test level and size. Every CE-approved product must be delivered with the user information. This must be translated to the language of the country and include information about the testing institute and certification, manufacturer, adjustment and cleaning instructions and type of injuries it cannot protect against.

  3. Jofama has chosen a soft protector to absorb energy. The advantage, as we see it, is that the whole protector absorbs energy and the friction heat build-up between protector and outer material is reduced as the material gives. All of Jofama’s protectors for shoulders, elbows, hips and knees can be adjusted in their positions for an ideal fit, either with the help of Velcro on the protector or an adjustment within the pocket.

  4. Protectors for shoulders, elbows, hips and knees EN 1621-1:2012 EN1621-1:2012 replaces EN1621-1:1997 from December 2012 The standard has twolevels with different requrements of ability to absorbenergy. All of Jofama’s protectors for shoulders, elbows, hips and knees can be adjusted in their positions for an ideal fit, either with the help of Velcro on the protector or an adjustment within the pocket. It is optional to certifyproducts for different weatherconditions. Such as cold (-10) and heat (+40). With this certification the products must meet the same standards as above.
