  1. Question 5: How did you attract your audience ? A: who your target audience is and how you would market your film to them. B: Reviewing the response from your target audience in terms of feedback

  2. Part AHow you would reach you audience through marketing, which marketing tools does your audience connect / interact with? • Our Target audience are people aged between 15 to 40. With teenagers and adults being the two main social groups we target. For the young people aged 15 -25 their main interaction with the media is by using social networking sites such as Facebook and Instagram. The adults aged 26 – 40 will be through agents like newspapers and the radio. • For the younger demographic of our target audience we will use pull marketing. This is because that is what will attract, appeal and reach them best. Things such as social media and viral marketing campaigns. As well as websites, all this marketing tools will also use word of mouth. • The older demographic (as well as the younger one, just not as much) will be attracted by push advertising. This is traditional non interactive marketing forms. Things such as posters, TV ads and the radio. • Both demographics will be attracted by events we will pull off. For example we will have TV interviews with the cast on shows/channesls like BBC 3 andBBC 6. Furthermore we will do special stunts in open air. For example we hill hire 1,000 white vans to all drive through london at the same time. • Media coverage at film festivals and awards will also help attract our audiences. • Test screenings in Brighton, London, Leeds and Glasgow. Therefore we get to reach/attract people throughout the entire country.

  3. Content of your marketing products, how will you attract your audience to watch your specific film? We Cast KevIshimwe, as the lead actor. He is known as a new, young emerging actor with a niche following. He most known for his roles in other low budget thrillers, such as “Killing me” and “Why not?”. We cast him to attract his following and have a star in the show. He will also attract people who don't necessarily like thriller but have heard of Ishimwe.

  4. Content of your marketing products, how will you attract your audience to watch your specific film? As well our U.S.P was the fact we had Josh Twiggie Molecey. The award winning producer, who is a industry leader when it comes to small independent Films. As well Kev, who is the director from “Life is a lie”. Josh is also known as being a TV presenter of the internationally loved show “Animals, animals and animals”.

  6. PART B: How did you attract / address your audience? • In order to gauge how our opening title sequence addressed our target audience, we showed our film to our target audience and received the following feedback. In terms of genre they though our piece stuck to the conventional thriller codes. That it was defiantly a thriller and couldn't be misidentified. The soundtrack was enjoyed by the audience, they thought it complemented our O.T.S well. • We received very positive feedback about our Mise-en-scene. They found our location extremely effective. This was a point that kept reoccurring in our feedback. Our lighting was found to be really effective as well. They liked how it was dark and de saturated. The Props we used were also seen as effective by our audience. They could see a lot of thought had been taken into account. In conclusion our costumes were identified as being effective at showing what type of people our characters are. • Cinematography wise they thought the continuity was good, the colour correction was spot on and the title placement was clever. We also learned that our camerawork, with shots like our establishing shot at the beginning and close ups of eye were effective. As well our slow motion shot was thought to be cool and engaging. • From the feedback given, I feel we have successfully targeted our audience and addressed their needs.
