  2. Respite Care Survey • Renamed Short Breaks (Respite) Survey • New guidance being issued for 2012/13 onwards • Choice in how survey is returned in 2012/13: • Aggregate return using spreadsheet • Individual return sent via ProcXed

Scottish Care Homes Census • Collected by Care Inspectorate through secure eForms system • Analysed and published by ISD Scotland – last published October 2012 From 2012-13, SCHC collecting • Names, DOB, postcode • To allow for Data Linking with Health, Housing and other data sources • Carried out full Privacy Impact Assessment with ISD • Created Privacy Notices for Care Homes to use including easy-read version

Delayed Discharge Census • Published quarterly by ISD – next publication 26th February 2013 • Revised targets have been set for Delayed Discharge to have no-one delayed for more than four weeks by April 2013 and more than two weeks by April 2015. • Delays of less than 3 days are now counted. • ‘Code 9’ delays are now in main publication. • Last two quarters have published new information on ‘bed days lost’ to delayed discharge each quarter (this is obtained from new EDISON system) • In all Health Board areas average ‘bed days lost’ is higher than the quarterly census data

LFR3 review Latest LFR3 data – 2011/12 • 2011/12 expenditure data will be published on 26th February 2013 • Do you know what this looks like for your LA? • Changes made last year to overall LFR workbook and guidance • Data may not be consistent with previous years? • SOLACE / IS indicators will be published in March 2013 • Home Care indicator looks at average hourly rate based on LFR3 Home Care expenditure compared with Home Care Hours – is this comparing like with like? LFR3 review • Review group set up last year - considering future design and guidance for LFR3 • Looking to reduce size of LFR3 form • Looking to get better consistency between Local Authorities • Looking for new members

Registered Blind & Partially Sighted Survey • Not been published since 2010 • No plans to publish data on only people who are registered with visual impairment • Considering future publication on disability using various sources – this could cover Blind, Deaf, Learning Disability, Autism and possibly other groups. • Possible sources: • Census 2011 • Scottish Household Survey, Scottish Health Survey, etc • Schools Census • Other?

  8. Mental Health Officers • MHO survey has been transferred to SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) • SSSC currently collecting data and plan to publish in May 2013 • SSSC is an Official Statistics producer • Also publish Social Care Workforce

  9. Census week 2013 • Easter weekend this year is 29th March to 1st April. • Therefore last week in March may not be a typical week. • Choices for census week: • Week including 20th March • Week including 10th April Discuss • Which do people prefer? • What are pros and cons of each?
