  6. DEFINITION OF A NURSE • A nurse is a person who has successfully completed the nursing training program • And is Authorised to Practice • A definition of the International Council of Nurses - ICN

  7. FUNCTION • A Regulatory Body • Registration of Nurses & Midwives Public & Private • General Nurse- Midwife- Nurse Midwife- Mental Nurse- Temporary • Maintain Discipline in Nursing Practice • Promote Education & Training of Nurses & Midwives
