  2. Statistics of Approved Mandates in last One Year

Milestones of e- Dividend Mandate Registration in 2017 • Approval given to Registrars to access the BVN Validation portal - 8 Registrars on-boarded thus far. • Statistical analysis of approved mandated to establish unique shareholders in the Capital Market. Of the total 1,690,769 shareholder accounts with e-Dividend mandates in the Capital Market as at December, 2016 we established 636,182 unique shareholders. • SEC has remitted the pledged underwriting of Mandates Processing fees on behalf of Investors from April 14, 2016 till September 30, 2016. • Banks and Registrars have taken ownership of the e-DMMS process with the customization of sensitization materials. • The e-Dividend Mandate Management Technical Committee and the Direct Cash Settlement Committee have met twice. • Committee still working on conviction of June 30, 2017 cut off date for dividend warrant issuance.

  4. Un-Mandated Investment Validation Portal • SEC in April 2017 launched an Un-Mandated Investment Validation SEARCH Portal on the SEC website which allows investors to confirm companies of investment. The URL is https://u-ediv.investoreducation.gov.ng/ • Process is to type in investor name in the space provided and click on search. The system will return shareholder account number, the company of investment and the Registrar managing account . • Investors can then proceed to download the mandate forms for the relevant Registrar from the SEC website or NIBSS website on the following link - https://www.nibss-plc.com.ng/partners/capital-market-registrars/
