  6. Adjectives with the suffix - ing characterize or describe the thing they refer to. Indra Tj - D 2422

  7. EXAMPLE • Westlife is described as an exciting group of young singers. Indra Tj - D 2422

  8. The suffix -ing is related to cause. Here, Westlife is characterized as exciting. Indra Tj - D 2422

  9. EXAMPLE • Teenagers are very excited about Westlife’s new record. Indra Tj - D 2422

  10. The suffix -ed, on the other hand, describes a person’s feeling about or response to something. Indra Tj - D 2422
